Modern Slavery Statement
At K.C.U. Ltd, we are committed to making sure that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our organisation or supply chains. We take this responsibility seriously and work to make sure everyone connected to our charity is treated fairly and ethically.
What we do
We are a charity providing support to our community, including operating foodbanks and other essential services. We work with staff, volunteers, and suppliers to deliver our mission responsibly.
Our commitment
We will not tolerate exploitation or forced labour. We are committed to:
• Acting ethically in all our work
• Complying with the Modern Slavery Act 2015
• Making sure our suppliers and partners meet high ethical standards
• Providing training to staff and volunteers to spot and report any concerns
How we manage risks
We know that some areas carry a higher risk of exploitation, such as suppliers, temporary staff, and certain services. We:
• Assess new suppliers and partners before working with them
• Include anti-slavery clauses in contracts where needed
• Monitor our suppliers and partners to ensure they follow the law
