No one in Kettering should go hungry

Foodbank Services

Our Operating Model

Emergency food requirements are met with dignity and as soon as possible by authorised Partner Agencies who hold food parcels on site, issuing them to customers when a need has been identified. This removes unnecessary travel, increasing efficiency. Each parcel contains three days’ food, to see what’s in a food parcel see here. All food parcels have a food voucher attached which is completed on issue and returned to KCU.  This information is entered into the Trussell Trust database and links to their national database to provide food need statistics for the UK. The issued food parcels are then replenished through our Foodbank Hub.

KCU Foodbank Operating Model

The organisations listed below are authorised and trained through the Trussell Trust to issue food parcels to those identified as in need.
These organisations also provide support and advice on how to deal with the core problems that have caused people to be in food poverty.
All our food parcels contain the best food we have available and the contents comply with the Trussell Trust guidelines on volumes and nutritional values.
